遊戲在地化是打入國際市場必不可缺的要素，近幾年就連獨立遊戲翻成好幾種語言都只是基本款，少了在地化，很可能就會直接淹沒在其他作品之下。另外，在地化的費用對獨立團隊是一筆不小的負擔，該如何把錢花在刀口上？就算有資金進行在地化，但在不懂該語言的情況下要怎麼顧到品質？而譯者會需要什麼資料才能精準表達原作品的精神？獨立遊戲開發者分享會 240623 場次邀請遊戲配音與在地化資深工作者、「牛灣娛樂」共同創辦人 Sean，來解密遊戲在地化的流程，為玩家帶來最讚的在地化體驗吧。

Localization is essential for entering the international video game market. In recent years, even indie games being translated into multiple languages has become the norm. Without localization, a game could easily get overshadowed by other works. However, localization costs can be a significant burden for indie teams. How can they ensure their money is well spent? Even if they have the funds for it, how can they ensure quality without understanding the languages? What information does a translator need to accurately convey the spirit of the original work? In this edition of IGDShare, Sean, a senior professional in localization and game VO, and co-founder of Cowbay Entertainment, will demystify the localization process, bringing the best experience to the players.
