Ross 為獨立遊戲《記憶邊境》主企劃,負責專案中遊戲設計、專案管理與商業洽談。畢業於美國遊戲開發研究所 SMU Guildhall,在加入極度邊緣工作室前,曾於台灣多間遊戲開發公司工作過。本月份分享會,特別邀請 Ross 來進行將在 2023 TGDF 登台演講的主題「極度邊緣的開發方式」的暖身,提前收集演講內容的聽眾問題與意見回饋。沒錯,現在不只是遊戲可以 Early Access,遊戲主題的演講也可以搶先體驗哦!

這次分享內容為介紹極度邊緣工作室在開發《記憶邊境》時使用的製作流程,解釋一個好的遊戲製作流程如何幫助開發者避免許多不必要的問題,最後再補充一些我們在專案過程中學到能加速開發與討論的小觀念。任何遊戲開發者,不需要任何基礎知識,聽完後能快速理解一個開發流程長怎樣,還有在開發過程中的每個階段該注意的事情是什麼跟該做什麼。

  3. 靠牆邊的座位都有插座,不過不一定夠用,有需求的話還是建議自行準備排插或延長線與三轉二接頭。

Ross is the lead game designer for the hit indie game "Thymesia" and is responsible for game design, project management, and business negotiations in the project. He graduated from SMU Guildhall, a game development institute in the United States, and has worked in several game companies in Taiwan before joining Overborder Studio. For this month's IGDShare, we invite Ross to have a rehearsal session for his upcoming talk at 2023 TGDF, "The Production Process of Overborder Studio", to collect audience questions and feedback on the speech content in advance. Yep, not only games can have Early Access, we do that with talks about gamedev as well!

The talk will introduce the production process used by Overborder Studio in developing Thymesia, and explain how a good game production process can help developers avoid many unnecessary problems. We will also provide some additional insights that we have learned during the project, which can accelerate development and communication. This session is suitable for any game developer, regardless of their level of knowledge. Participants will have a overall understanding of the process, what to pay attention to at each stage, and do's and don'ts.
